Final Proposal - Project Three - Light

For this project I am interested in experimenting with light drawing to put an object into a scene that isn't ever there in the first place.
My concept is to draw nature into bedrooms to create an interesting aesthetic and image. I have chosen this concept because when we think about nature, we generally think of nature being in the backyard, garden or at a park etc and not inside the home.

Third Shoot - Project Three - Light

I thought that this shoot was one of the best because I hand the hang of the light drawings and knew what I wanted to draw. I also still find the experience extremely fun.

Best Photos - Project Three - Light

Second Shoot - Project Three - Light

I found that this shoot went really well and turned out to be really productive. I found it easier to do the light drawings as I got the hang of how big and how fast I needed to draw the images.

Best Photos - Project Three - Light

First Shoot - Project Three - Light

I thought that this shoot went really well for my first attempt at light drawing. At first I wasn't pointing the light at the camera but soon figured out that I had to. I found doing the light drawings really fun but also kinda hard in the fact that you really need two people so that your images come out successful.

Research - Nature Light Drawing

Once I figured out what my concept was I decided to research nature light drawing so I could get an idea of what nature could be easiest or have the best effect for my project. I found these images really helpful towards my own light drawing ideas.

Project Three - Initial Proposal

For this project I have come up with a proposal that uses both light and history. For this project I am interested in experimenting with light drawing to put an object into the scene that isn't ever there. My concept is to draw nature into rooms in a house because we don't generally think about nature being inside the home. we tend to think that it is a garden, or a park etc.

Research - Tokihiro Sato

Long Exposures

I have chosen to research these images because one of my initial ideas for project three was to take photos of street to expose the lights more to make the scene look similar to the scenes in the first Harry Potter movie at  the begginning.

I have chosen to research this image by Sato too because I would like to also give light drawing a shot for this project as it is something completely new and could be quite fun.

Research - Andre Kertesz

A fork and a plate are altered, from two simple and unobserved items of everyday life into a new certainty; a puzzling familiarity.

Final Stop Motion

Final Proposal

For this project I have decided to focus on the topic of the kitchen and gender roles of baking.
I have decided on this topic because these days it is more of a luxury to have home baking rather than an every week occurrence like when you were a kid because it has become simply too convenient in society today to buy a simple add your own liquids cake mix or professionally made cakes off he shelf of a supermarket or bakery. I have decided to show this process of baking a cake through a stop motion to show how easy and possible baking can be along with the change of states that all the ingredients go through in the cooking process.
